WHAT IS HEEDING THE HUM ABOUT?

Grab a shirt. Start a convo. Be proud of who you are.

At HEED THE HUM, we create clothing and accessories that amplify and empower marginalized communities. We believe in the power of tuning into yourself – and showing the rest of the world exactly what you stand for.

Who We Are

HEED THE HUM is a queer, woman-of-color-owned small business that started from a simple idea – what if we all showed the world our most authentic selves? When we tune into who we are and heed that hum inside, we can tap into our greatest potential and do the most good. That’s what HEED THE HUM is all about.

What We Stand For

We champion diversity, acceptance, vulnerability, and peace. Whether you’re celebrating Pride or looking for the perfect feminist T-shirt, our clothing and accessories are designed with you in mind – so we can stand together.

Share Your Story

Meet Our Creator

Rachel Levin is the creative force behind HEED THE HUM. Born in Santiago, Chile to a family from Chilóe Island, Rachel is of mixed Chilean and indigenous Mapuche descent. She was adopted from Chile into a white, Jewish family, who raised her in the suburbs of Chicago, Israel, and New Jersey. After brief periods living in Israel and Chile as an adult to explore her cultural roots, Rachel made her home in Brooklyn, where she now lives and works. She came into her identity as a queer, feminist, Jewish woman of color after heeding her own hums – and now, she wants to help others do the same. Let’s all celebrate our differences together.
